This is a Gretsch Bobtail Resonator model G9220. It is the rounded neck style, acoustic/electric with real punch. Some of the features include a
Vintage Semi-Gloss neck finish, aged white neck binding, medium jumbo frets, a bone nut and white dot position markers. The scale length is 25" and it has a fingerboard radius of 15.75".
This model includes the Fishman Nashville Resophonic internal pickup; the Gretsch Ampli-Sonic Spider Resonator Cone (
per the Gretsch specs
is hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99 percent pure aluminium),
Nickel-Plated Poinsettia Design Cover-Plate, and the 1930's Gretsch Headstock design with aged Pearloid face, all the essentials to provide a respectful nod to the vintage looks, feel and sound of the classic resonator.  Beautiful bright work and elements described above make this a real throwback homage. Set up for open tuning playing but can be set for higher action to accommodate a slide for the full effect. This one is in MINT condition. The stand in photos is not included.
